The Seguin Education Foundation hosts several major events a year. The first being Mardi Gras held each February. Our Race for Education 5K is anchored at The Backyard in April. Finally, we host our annual teacher and family favorite called the Celebration of Excellence in May.

Mardi Gras is our fundraising Gala that includes an evening full of food, drinks, and auctions. Race for Education 5K: April 1, 2023
The Race for Education begins at The Backyard and winds through Seguin’s beautiful Park West. Participants will enjoy their morning exercise and a complimentary age-appropriate beverage, along with a unique shopping experience at The Backyard’s monthly Market Day. Celebration of Excellence: May 16, 2023
The Celebration of Excellence, held annually in May, is a special banquet that honors the top 10% of the graduating class and the senior student council leaders. Each student selects their Educational Hero, a teacher or Seguin ISD staff member who has made a positive impact on the student’s life. The banquet includes a ceremony in which each student presents a message of gratitude to their Hero. The evening is full of laughs, surprises, and tears as we honor all involved.
